He was predeceased by: his wife Yvonne; his sons, Shawn Sr. (Susan) and Michel; his parents, Ferdinand Lapierre and Delia Lapierre; and his siblings, Maurice (late Janet Tearle) and Bea Okum (late John).
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Shawn Jr. and Chloe; his great grandchildren, Bryson, Noah and Liam; and his siblings, Norbert (Andrée), Leo (Lesley), Cecile Locke (late Ken), Sylvia Hogarth (late Bill) and Joe (Nicole).
