She was predeceased by: her husband Fred Carss; her parents, Christie Foster and Edith Foster of Lanark, Ontario.; and her sisters, Doris Palmer, Christina McCullough and Donna Whyte.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cathy Muldoon (Paul Neil) and Beth Pope (Dan); her grandchildren, Ryan (Jen), Erin (James), Brandon (April), Lyle and Richard (Sherry); and her brother Orland (Christine).
