She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Strike; her parents, Hjalmar Backa and Alina Backa (Leppamaki); and her brothers, Olavi (Hilkka), Leevi (late Morna), Mauno (Elsie) and Sulo (late Dorothea).

She is survived by: her children, Mark (Julie) and Lori; her grandchildren, Ashley of Ottawa and Brendan of Ottawa; her brother-in-law Ted Strike (Bev) of Arnprior; and her friend Bessie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

In memory of Eva, a donation can be made to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
