He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos and Eva (Miller). He is survived by: his wife June (Steele); his daughter Heather (David) of Arden; his grandchildren, Thomas (Alexandra) of Bath, Elizabeth (Russell) of Emsdale, Alexander (Rachel) of Mountain Grove and Lily of Arden; his close friend Dale Hartwick; and his siblings, Jean Sadler (late Gordon), Eileen Butcher, Gwen See and Ronald Hughes.
