He is survived by: his wife Marjorie; his children, Pamela Poole (Mario Mazerolle) and Michael Wood (Lori Kellar); his granddaughters, Madeleine Poole, Micheline Kent (Kyle) and Ella Wood; his great grandchild Maeve Kent; and his siblings, James Wood (Catheline) and Carol Sproule (late Gerald). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial donations can be made in Doug's honour to Canadian Cancer Society.
