He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Thirnbeck (Tap) and Alberta Sharpe; and his brother John Wilson Thirnbeck (Mick). He is survived by: his children, Barry (Dawn) and Paula (Glenn); his grandchildren, Kevin (Sarah), Erika (Brad), Colin, Lindsay, Brendan and Rachel; and his great grandchildren, Isla, Julian and Kaeden.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to Kingston General Hospital Cancer Ward or Providence Care Palliative Care Ward.
