He was predeceased by: his parents, Stan Philip and Gertie Philip; his sisters, Diana Meade (Dave), Lori Deere (John) and Bonnie (late Charles Pare); and his father-in-law Bill.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Philip; his children, Jacqulynn Philip-Heelan (Russ) and Lacey Philip (Christian Bruneau); his mother-in-law Doris Mills; and his siblings-in-law, Bernie Mills (late Sandy) and Andy Mills (Jodi). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends.
