He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gilliam and Yvonne Gilliam; his wife Sandra; and his siblings, Marcella Marleau (late Warren Amond), Gary Gilliam (Judy), Jimmy Gilliam and Barbara Rubery (late Frank).

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Samantha Donald, Gavin Scott and Ryan Scott.
