She was predeceased by: her husband Herbert Hamelin; and her siblings, Julia Ouellette (Maurice), Lawrence Girard (Agnes) and Gord Girard (Dolly). She is survived by: her children, Ron (Neil Peters), Janine "Queen" Bissonnette (Wayne), Shelley DiPasquale (Dominic), Janice Novick (Mike) and Kim McDonnell (Mike); her sister Jean Therrien (Gates); and her sister-in-law Shirley Helkie (Bob).

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 11th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, September 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A prayer was held on Wednesday, September 11th 2024 at 7:30 PM at the Families First Funeral Home (585 Sandwich St S, Amherstburg, ON N9V3W3). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Clement Church (9567 Walker Rd, McGregor, ON N0R1J0).
