He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Hannah; his parents, Joseph Ruston and Blanche Ruston; and his sisters, Joanne Mickle and Marilyn Hunt.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Alex Belmont, Ayden Langlois, Jacob, Meaghan Frank, Justin and Adrian D'Ascanio; his great grandchild Rosella Belmont; his sister Elaine Mickle; and his siblings-in-law, Larry Gardiner (Pat), Lynda Frattaroli (Anthony) and Carole Gheesling (Bob).
