She was predeceased by: her parents, Vojtech Pitel and Ludvina Pitel (Podolinsky); and her siblings, Annie, Vojtech and Louis Pitel.

She is survived by: her spouse John Misek; her children, Irene Williamson (Paul), Christine Misek (Bob Lauder) and Margaret Misek; her grandchildren, Rebecca Williamson (Karl Spangler), Cynthia Williamson, Eric Williamson, Piers Evans (Rebecca Smyth), Benjamin Evans (Teri-Lynn) and Henry Evans; her sisters, Margaret Bryce and Mary Corbett (Wayne); and her sisters-in-law, Elaine Pitel and Doreen Pitel.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph's Hospice (Sarnia) or Canadian Cancer Society.
