He was predeceased by: his stepson Bill Swan (Connie); and his siblings, Victor Coleman, Dorothy Smith, Marjorie Bindner-Wilson and Jo-Anne Badder.

He is survived by: his children, Tim Coleman (Rieta), Mary Ann Blunt (Philip), Sharon Coleman (Tim Singleton), John Coleman (Maureen), Christopher Coleman and Beth Blunt (Paul); his stepchildren, Nancy Sue Thomson (Mike), John Swan (Cate), Scott Swan (Jenn) and Marty Swan (Mary-Anne); and his brother Jim Coleman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
