He was predeceased by: his wife Nina; and his parents, Pearl Sutherland and Duncan Sutherland. He is survived by: his children, Sherry Kennedy (Dave) and Keith Sutherland (Cindy); his grandchildren, Janna, Erica Kennedy, Erinn and Turner Sutherland; his siblings, Elton of Olds, AB, Shirley Pulleyblank (Robert) of Mayerthorpe, AB and Barry "Butch" (Jo-Ann) of Saskatoon, SK; his sisters-in-law, Pat Redick and Anne Redick; and his niece Vera Woods.
