She was predeceased by: her parents, Teodoro Fortuna and Maria Fortuna; her husband Ezio Bernes; her sister Ida Godeas; and her brothers-in-law, Guerino Godeas and Gabriele Spinelli (Bill Friess).
She is survived by: her children, Gabriella Sakula (Michael) of Hamilton and Luciano Bernes (Sandra) of Almonte; her grandchildren, Stefanie Hutter (Steve) of Kincardine, Laura Holmquist (Steve) of Hamilton, Jared Bernes (Sabrina) of Almonte and Bryce Bernes (Lee) of Fort McMurray; her sister Livia Spinelli of Monfalcone Italy; and her great grandchildren, Art, Linda Friess, Cate Hildreth of Union City and Tennessee.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the St. Anthony's Church (123 Hilldale Rd, Thunder Bay, ON P7G1H6). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the same location.
