He was predeceased by: his parents, John James and Mary Catherine MacDonell; and his siblings, Dorothy, Evelyn, John, Eileen, Charles, Inez, Doreen, Angus and Donald.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his children, Natalie (Joe Compton) and Shelley (Jeff Usher); and his grandchildren, Jordan, Jennifer, Mitchell, Hannah and Bryce.
