He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville and Doris; and his brothers, Robert and Dennis. He is survived by: his children, Ian (Victoria McDowell) and Brenda (Tom Kozlowski); the mother of his children Catherine Dicks; his brother Raymond (Gale); his sisters-in-law, Heather and Margaret; his nieces and nephews, Jamie, Jonathan, Jennifer, Sherry, Pamela and Monica; and his close friends, Chuck Esiembre, Jason Hall and Stan Hall. He is also survived by his extended family and friends.
