He was predeceased by: his wife Ina; his daughter Janice; and his sister Irene. He is survived by: his children, John (Wanda), Sandy, Kevin (Roxanne) and Robert; his grandchildren, Andrew (Sarah), Erin (Emmanuel), Colton (Alex) and Wade (Abbey); and his great grandchildren, Avery, Noah, Amelia and Iris.
