He was predeceased by: his wife Connie Buchanan; his son Michael; and his parents, Ralph Buchanan and Jennie Buchanan. He is survived by: the father of his child Richard Buchanan (Diane) of Newfoundland; his daughter Carol; his grandchildren, Amber (Scott McMillan), Kiah (Trevor Gill), Timothy (Alecia Rideout), Erin, Beth and Mark; his great grandchild Eloise; and his siblings, Lois Flannery (late Francis) of Riverview and Paul Buchanan (Ela) of Alliston.
