He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilda Williams and Jeffrey Benjamin; his stepson Troy; and his son-in-law Eugene Roach. He is survived by: his wife Janet Bailey (Dianne Hopper); his children, Donna, Judy, Jacinta, Jeanne and Jessel; his stepchildren, Kelly and Carole; his children-in-law, Derick Commissiong, Lennox Sobers and Dexter of Gale; his grandchildren, Jameel, Jemmimah, Jaelen, Jeniece, Jevor, Kayla Jeanine, Aisha, Tekla, Kebu, Selim, Tyler and Siobhan; and his great grandchildren, Josiah, Jacob, Julian, Jase Azie, Nickia, Demetri, Anayah, Bella and Tafari. He is also survived by grandpa by his dear grands, will be sorely missed by extended family and friends.

The family would appreciate memorial contributions to Matthews House Hospice or Heart and Stroke in lieu of flowers. Donations are being accepted in memory of Joseph.
