He was predeceased by: his stepson Steven; and his parents, Gertruda Rutten and Johannus Rutten. He is survived by: his wife Sue Atkinson; his stepchildren, Barbara Ann (Sarah), Kyla (Anthony), Crystal (Jeff) and Allan; his grandchildren, Eleanor, Aubry and Jaelynn; his siblings, Louwie (Denise), Wilma (Peter), Jenny (Jim), Joseph (Sherri), John Jr., Frank (Margot), Trudie (Martin) and Leo (Barbara); his brother-in-law Bill (Heather); and also, Kathy and Jerry Ford. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, extended family, and friends.
