He was predeceased by: his parents, George Smith and Margaret Smith; his former wife Mary L. Smith; his children, Gary (Petra) and Barbara (Harold); his stepdaughter Lynne (Obie); and his siblings, John and Dorothy.
He is survived by: his wife Thelma Crothers; his children, Douglas (Linda) and Terry (Patricia); his stepdaughter Karen (Colin); and his siblings, Raymond (Marilyn), Alex (Donna), Ron (Anne), Tom (Rhonda) and Elsie (Bill). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and many greatgrandchildren.
