He was predeceased by: his father Stanley Lacombe; his daughter Sylvie (Georges Nadeau); and his siblings, Jeannine (late Camille Lefebvre) and Colin O'Reagan. He is survived by: his wife Monique Sauvé; his children, Mario (Danielle Lavigne), Louise (Pierre Soucy), Chantal (Alain Boileau), Nathalie (Michel Girard) and Paul (Annik Bourdon); his grandchildren, Isabelle, Martine Nadeau, Jessica, Justine Fortin-Lacombe, Florence, Lysandre Lacombe-Soucy, Patrick, Valérie Boileau, Philippe Girard, Flavie and Chloé Lacombe; and his sisters, Pauline, Réjeanne (late Ignace Mvungi) and Monique (Aldéo Duguay). He is also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
