He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Maria and Jakob Seyler. He is survived by: his wife Helga; his children, Margit (Holker Pfannebecker), Hans-Jakob (Maria Michel), Iris (Elmar Henrich), Christina (Shawn McNiven), Michaela (Andrew McKenzie) and Indra (Ralf Herpolsheimer); his sister Tina Minrath; his grandchildren, Maximilian, Konstantin, Christopher, Rafael, Niklas, Samuel, Ildiko, Konrad, Hamish, Willem, Jakob, Luna and Cosmo; and his great grandchildren, Charlotte and Marlene.
