He was predeceased by: his parents, Léopold Charlebois and Agnès Charlebois; his wife Thérèse; his son Gilles (Michelle Paiment); and his siblings-in-law, Yvonne Méthot, Emile Méthot (late Fernande Gratton) and Stella Méthot (André Leroux).

He is survived by: his children, Joanne (Michael Crawford), Sylvie and Daniel (Janis Freeman); his grandchildren, Julie Downes (Dave Delugt), Patrick Downes, David Downes (Taylor Sawadsky), Luke Charlebois, Rachael Charlebois (Kieran O'Kelly) and David Turgeon; his siblings, Réjeanne Charlebois (late Bernard Lamoureux), Germain Charlebois (Lucy Rhodenizer) and Richard Charlebois (Rollande Séguin); and his siblings-in-law, Estelle Denis (late Roger Charlebois), Marie-Jeanne Levac (late Jean-Paul Charlebois), Sophie (late Émile Levac), Marguerite (late André Lalonde), Liliane (Vincent Levac), Andréa Dubois and Marie-Reine (Paul Brown). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, and friends.
