She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Alfred Belcher; her sons, David and Peter (Carmel); her parents, Harold McKiel and Jeanette McKiel; and her brothers, Bill, George and Gerald.

She is survived by: her daughter Judith Bedbrook (late Ross); her grandchildren, Trevor John (Emilie), Allison (Robbie), Lee Henry and Rianon (David); her great grandchildren, Parker, Sam, Cole and Abby; and her sister Jean. She is also survived by many nieces & nephews.

“Dear judy, trevor, allison (& the grandkids & greatgrandkids we have never met!), we were very sorry to hear of marie's passing. We so fondly remember her reliable and predictable birthday and christmas presents of hand-knitted socks or mittens with chocolate bars inside. Our deepest sympathy, your cousins, vanessa & jonathan mckiel (george's kids) i will try to attach a couple of photos: marie with baby george in 1924, and a mckiel sibling reunion in (?) 1988”
