He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Bourbonnais and Georgette Bourbonnais; and his brother-in-law Roger Théorêt (Shelley). He is survived by: his wife Sylvie Bourbonnais; his child Anik Bourbonnais (Samuel Groom); his siblings, Roger Bourbonnais (Judy), Claude Bourbonnais (Nicole) and Louise Hébert (late Jacques); and his siblings-in-law, Denise Ménard (Roger), Suzanne Théorêt, Denis Théorêt (Claire) and Lise Théorêt (Richard Leboeuf). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, cousins.

Visitation was held on Friday, October 11th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Église Sacré-Coeur Church (20593 Glen Robertson Rd, Alexandria, ON K0C1A0). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 11th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, October 11th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cimetière Paroissial Sacré-Coeur Parish Cemetery (20593 Glen Robertson Rd, Alexandria, ON K0C1A0). A reception was held on Friday, October 11th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Salle Paroissiale Sacré-Coeur Parish Hall (225 Main St N, Alexandria, ON K0C1A0).

Donations to the Ottawa Civic Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
