He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Morton. He is survived by: his children, Margaret, Kevin (Patricia), Tim, Ellen (Dave), Donna Denise (Greg), Alannah (Blair), Joanne (John) and Tom (Suzanne); and his grandchildren, Shelagh, Patrick, Caolan, Jennifer, Jarrod, Oliver, Hailey, Douglas, Erin, Connor, Michael, Jeffrey, Lindsay, Kyla, Zachary, Caleb, Arianna, Jordan, Julia, Jacqueline and Cassandra. He is also survived by 31 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.
