He is survived by: his wife Sallie; his children, Jeff (Wanda), Greg (Glenda), Brian (Claudia), Michelle (Keith Carroll) and Patty; his grandchildren, Andrew, Christian, Kyle, Jessica, Lauren, Erin, Nicholas, Peter, Jill, Monique, Kolme and Cooper; his sister Joyce Manos; and also, Makenna, Scottie, Maverick, Rhodes, Peyton, Tally, Abby and Brooks.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Westney Heights Baptist Church (1201 Ravenscroft Rd., Ajax, ON L1T 4K5) may be made directly or through e-transfer. Alternatively, memorial donations may also be made to the Bob and Sallie Baun Endowment Fund at Ontario Tech University.

“I first met Robert 30 years at a golf tournament I had organized for Indigenous community. When I met Bob I was struck by is cerebral qualities. We stayed in touch all these years, golf tournaments, bringing pickerel to him and his buddy Johnny Bower. Bob was honored that I named my German Shepherd Boomer after him. He kept his namesake on the fridge. I wish I could have said one final goodbye--I am going to miss Bob the man and Bob the Legend. He was a true gentleman.”
