Muriel Jean Peister Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Muriel Jean Peister (Saunders) on March 25, 2025. She is now in the presence of her Heavenly Father. Muriel was born on February 19, 1943 in Fredericton, New Brunswick to Lawrence and Zaida Saunders. She was a sister to Lorne, Frank, Gary, Quinton, Stephen, Pearl, Paul and David. Muriel was the devoted wife of the late Lawrence Peister. Together they built a life and a family in Toronto. As a Mum and Grammie, her heart overflowed with pride and joy for her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her son Jeffrey and his family Jennifer, Joel, Gregory and Ryan, and daughter Rebecca and her family Sean, Aaryn and Madison, as well as a large extended family and many friends. 🎶 Face to face - oh, blissful moment! Face to face - to see and know; Face to face - with my Redeemer, Jesus Christ who loves me so. 🎶 It's not goodbye Mum, it's we'll see you later! 💕 Family and friends are invited to celebrate Muriel's life at McEachnie Funeral Home located at 28 Old Kingston Rd in Ajax, Ontario, L1T 2Z7. Visitation will be held on March 31 from 5-8 pm with the funeral service on April 1st at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Durham Down Syndrome Association, Diabetes Canada, Parkinson Canada, or Hospice Whitby.
