He was predeceased by: his wife Kathy Koppens; his parents, John and Antonia; and his siblings, Liz, John, George and Renie.
He is survived by: his children, Richard, Jim and Margaret; his grandchildren, Amanda (Jamie), Krysania (Andrew), Brittany and Raistlin; his great grandchildren, Dylan, Marissa, Lana, Damian and Egon; and his siblings, Carl, William, Bert, Christine and Joanne. He is also survived by his many brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Nature Conservancy of Canada https://natureconservancy.ca or the Alzheimer's Society https://alzheimer.ca would be preferred by the family.
