He was predeceased by: his daughter Paula Macciocchi; and his siblings, Joao, Linda and Alice. He is survived by: his wife Maria Cecilia; his daughter Ana; his sons-in-law, Mark Rittinger and James Macciocchi; his grandchildren, Sofia, Carla, Isabela, Marisa and Miguel; and his siblings, Antonio, Gisela and Cacilda.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Palliative Care Unit at Lakeridge Health (Ajax/Pickering Hospital Foundation) would be appreciated.
