He was predeceased by: his parents, Vera Esson (Boroday) and Douglas Martin; his brother Don Martin; and his nephews, Don Jr. (Sandra) and Patrick.

He is survived by: his wife Gail; his daughters, Erin and Ashley (Marc); and his pet Phoebe.
