He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Peter Gill and Dr. Norma Gill. He is survived by: his wife Janice Gill; his son Eric Gill; his siblings, Barbara Abercrombie (Jim), Richard Gill (Jan) and Megan Gill (Gill-Eyers); and his siblings-in-law, Adrian VanderWielen (Bruce Armstrong) and Alice Armstrong. He is also survived by family and record collecting friends.

For those who wish, donations can be made, in memory of Bruce, to Second Chance Wildlife Sanctuary in Pickering, ON.

“I am sadden to hear about Bruce's passing. I have bought records from Bruce over the past few years, He was fun, fair and generous. I enjoyed the few hours I got to spend with him in the basement. I was always impressed by his courage to "keep going". We shared a similar passion for music and he was a great source of knowledge. I will forever remember the last load of records I bought ; him having me put them on his lift to save my back. My condolences to his family and friends. David Heasman”
