Asunta Eileen Fernando Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 11, 2025, at the age of 85, Asunta Eileen Fernando (Ajax, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Asunta Eileen may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Asunta Eileen touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She is survived by: her husband Alphonse Fernando; her children, Sharmila (Neil) and Manoj (Yelitza); and her grandchildren, Shania, Shane, Ashan, Caelen and Sofia.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McEachnie Funeral Home (28 Old Kingston Rd, Ajax, ON L1T1Z7). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church (1001 Ravenscroft Rd, Ajax, ON L1T4X1).
This will be followed by a Mass and Service at St Francis De Sales Church, 1001 Ravenscroft Road, Ajax, ONT L1T 4X1, on Thursday, January 16th, at 10:30 a.m. In place of flowers, please consider donating to https://www.canadahelps.org.
