He was predeceased by: his parents, Eric and Ruth; his brother-in-law Rene; and his father-in-law Don. He is survived by: his wife Donna Holland; his children, Robert (Kim), Michelle and Dan (Gabrielle); his grandchildren, Abby (Ethan), Vail, Luke, Kyrie, Jade, Asher, Grayson, Hailey, Marshall, Violet and Drew; his siblings, Don (Hannah), Jane (Doug) and Marilyn; his mother-in-law Marion; and his siblings-in-law, Diane (Lee), Ross (Brenda), Ken (Ann), Dennis (Barbara), Louise (Joe) and Gerald.
In memory of Monte, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society.
