He was predeceased by: his siblings, Elizabeth McKichan and Albert McLachlan. He is survived by: his wife Emily Jane Whiting; his children, Shirley Knott (late Tom), Jim, Yvonne McLachlan, Connie Sutherland, Ward and Michele McLachlan; his grandchildren, Catherine, Daniel Leonard, Deborah Knott, Chris Elliott, Virginia, Braydon Bartko, Taryn, Devin McLachlan, Claire, Grace and Olivia Sutherland; his great grandchildren, Oliver and Theodore Bartko; his siblings, Duncan, Ken McLachlan and Marg Walker; his sister-in-law Libby McLachlan; and also, Margaret Whiting, Frank Speers and Keith Thiel. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

If desired, donations may be made to Craigweil Gardens, where Dad received the most wonderful care in his last year of life.
