He was predeceased by: his grandson Mark; his parents, William and Rose; his siblings, Bob, Stan, Bev, Don, Murray, Phil, Kay Nichols and Beryl Lucas; and his sister-in-law Donna.

He is survived by: his wife Jean (Cadman); his children, Wayne (Sherry), Kevin, Charles (Anita) and Heather Wells (Ralph); his grandchildren, Tammy, Stacey, Shane (Ang), Ryan (Sarah), Connor (Hannah), Angela, Dan (Candace), Erin Woelfle (Mark) and Emily Wells (Matt Tweddle); and his siblings-in-law, Karen Cadman (late Bryce), Jim Cadman (late Ruth), Beatrice Hart (late Dave), Leo Larkin, Clare, Carol Cadman, Bill and Anne Cadman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
