She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Johnson; and her sister-in-law Melissa Mathies. She is survived by: her husband Jeremy Mathies; her children, Samantha and Benjamin Mathies; her father Dave Holden (Lesley Lightfoot); her mother-in-law Kathleen "Kay" Mathies; her stepsiblings, Becky and Aidan Lightfoot; and her sister-in-law Michelle Mathies. She is also survived by many aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
As an expression of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
