“I met James in 2005 in Fort Simpson NT, and for a number of years thereafter we worked together in a small government program division. James was smart and kind and he had a good sense of humour. I once brought my old dad to Fort Simpson for a trip to Nahanni Falls. We visited James at a small house in a beautiful location on the bank of the Mackenzie. My dad asked about James from time to time thereafter, and referred to him as "that gentle man". Two words. Indeed, James was, a gentle man.”
