We are sad to announce that on March 26, 2023, at the age of 84, Dennis Lowing (Yellowknife, Northwest Territories) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dennis Lowing to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his wife Lib. He is survived by: his brothers, Ray and Dave (Ilene); his children, Michael, Patrick, Catherine (Mark) and Christina (Grant); and his grandchildren, Andrea (Rogine), Hanna (Madeline), Matthew, Nicholas, Connor and Rylee.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Stanton Territorial Hospital Foundation or your charity of choice.

“Dennis will be so missed. He was definitely a 'people person' who loved adventures, his children, their spouses, his grandchildren/their spouses; family gatherings and his valued friendships. He was a man ahead of his times in his acceptance of all people; he was never judgemental. As extended family, we understood the time, thought and energy he put into family gatherings and camping trips. He showed his generous love by always 'doing'. Thanks Dennis and Lib for all your love.”

“So sorry to learn of Dennis's death! He and Lib were my good friends , when we all lived and worked in Cumberland House in the early-sixties. We lost track of each other over the years but I've always held those long-ago young and carefree memories in my mind and heart! We did a lot of touring together in his 1949 Cessna and I often slept over at his place after we'd celebrated a little excessively! Rest in peace, Dennis. It was an honour to have known you!
