Verna Harriett George Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Verna Harriett George in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, who passed away on September 5, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Allister Irving and Harriett Irving; her former husband Maurice George (Tyke); her son Kevin; her son-in-law John Fortune; and her siblings, Ruth, Lydia, Velma, John and Bill.

She is survived by: her husband Bob; her daughters, Tammy (Rustin), Sharon (Terry), Karen, Nancy and Wendy; her grandchildren, Rebecca Canning (Brent) and Neil Wilson; her great grandchildren, Dylan, Ian and Kaidan; her stepdaughter Kim Williams (Andy); her stepgrandson Mitchell; her sister Elaine Burton; and her siblings-in-law, Cealy MacDonald (Vince), Wanda George (Bill) and Larry. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and her special friends.
