It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois Marilyn Hunter of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, who passed away on October 7, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Lois may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Freeman Crowell and Beatrice Alfreda Crowell (Kilcup); her husband Dr. James Oliver Hunter; and her brother Arthur Crowell. She is survived by: her children, Susan Sweeney (Dexter), Shelley Boyce, Stephanie Hunter (Darrell) and Garvin Hunter (Tara); and her siblings, Harold "Bill" Crowell (Mary) and Anne MacMullen. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Donations, in her memory, may be made to the Yarmouth Hospital Foundation or the Friends of Gilles Boudreau Cancer Help Fund.
