He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Thimot and Marguerite Thimot (Robichaud); his wife Joan; his son Sidney; and his brother Felix.

He is survived by: his siblings, Stanley (Rose Marie), Concession, Donald (Agnes), Jenette (late Nich), Elva Daigle (Don), Zoé Belliveau (late Coral) and Church Point; and his sister-in-law Lorraine Thimot (late Felix). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
