He is survived by: his wife Linda Ellis; his daughter Kristin Slovenz Tocci (Christopher); his stepdaughters, Margaret Ellis Stone (Susan Hughes), Karen Ellis Monahan (Andrew) and Jane Ellis Ratcliffe; his grandchildren, Christopher, Danielle Tocci, Andrew Stone and Langley Stone McDonough (Sean); his sister Madeline Slovenz Brownstone; his cousin Peter VanRixoort (Riina); his nephew Michael Crook; and his niece Cindy Crook.
In lieu of traditional remembrances, Stephen's family asks with gratitude that donations be made in his memory to the organizations that were most important to him, Valley Regional Hospital Foundation Safe Haven Animal Rescue.
