He was predeceased by: his parents, Mae Sears and Ronald Sears; and his brother Ronnie Ernst. He is survived by: his wife Julia Sears (Durling); his children, Mary Porter (Brad), Oakville, Ron Sears (Angela), Grand Prairie and Alta; his grandchildren, Cole Sears, Grand Prairie, Alta, Jade Sears and Aurora; and his siblings, Gary Sears, Heather Smith (Allan), Hamilton and Faith Boutilier (Joseph). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
