She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Weatherbee and Clara Weatherbee (Jessop); her husband Burton Shanks; and her siblings, Shirley Leeman, Albert, Louie, Earl and Ernest.
She is survived by: her children, Tammy Mitchell (Wesley), Bonita Carter (Lewis) and Barry (Hope); her siblings, Calvin Weatherbee, Willie Weatherbee (Jenny), Marilyn Weisner (Alan) of New Minas and Marina Murdoch of New Minas; and her grandchildren, Trevor, Douglas and Salina. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Donations in memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation or Windsor Elms.
