She is survived by: her parent Emily Smith (Schofield); her brother Alex Smith; her brother-in-law Gordon Harvey; her sister Elva Williams; her husband James; her children, Roy (Heather) of Cambridge, Andrea of Wolfville and Joy of New Minas; her sisters, Gwendolyn of Kentville, Ellen Bennet (Jack) and Ella (Dave); her sister-in-law Cheryl Davidson-Smith of Melanson; her grandchildren, Alison Harvey (Josh) of Halifax, Amber Harvey (Andrew) of Grand Pre, Maggie Kalkman of New Minas, Trevor Kalkman of Berwick and Alex Kalkman of Coldbrook; and her great grandchild Matthew England of Grand Pre.

Memorial donations in Berneda's name may be made to NS Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Wallbrook Baptist Church.
