She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Whitehead and Harriett "Hattie" Whitehead (Hunter); her husband Earl; and her siblings, Robert, Harry, Arnold, Herman, Carl Whitehead, Marie Caldwell, Marion Shanks, Elsie Upshaw and Marguerite Ward.

She is survived by: her children, Marlyn Bonang (Douglas), Barbara Smith (Keith), Phoebe Eichenberg (Kurt) and David (Gloria Burrell). She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Donations in memory of Nin may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 5826 South St., Halifax, NS B3H 1S6 or to a charity of one's choice.
