It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shane Beattie (Windsor, Nova Scotia), born in Amherst, Nova Scotia, who passed away on July 29, 2020, at the age of 44, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Ray Beattie. He is survived by: his mother Myrt Beattie (Yarn); his brother Troy; his girlfriend Jessica MacMillan; and his girlfriend's child Gabby. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at 2 pm at Lindsay Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, 194 King Street, Windsor. (Covid-19 restrictions, face masks and safe distancing will apply).

Memorial donations in Shane's name may be made to the Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation (5743 University Ave Suite 98, Halifax, NS, B3H 4R2). Donation cards may be placed by calling Lindsay's at (902) 798-2232.

“Shane was my Big Brother in Vancouver back in 2002 when my Dad passed away. We stayed in contact over the years. I just went to his facebook to send a message and saw that he had passed. I spoke to him last in April of 2020. I'm gutted. He turned into a real brother I never had. Taught me to drive, let me blow things up at the lab in Burnaby. So many memories. Sending my condolences to his family. I would love to reach out to them.”
