He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Hanes and Dorothy Hanes (Parker); and his significant other Barbara "Barb" (Smith). He is survived by: his children, Jason (Roxanne Findley) and Amanda Dobson (Justin); his granddaughter Emily Dobson; his siblings, Dianne Smith (Don) and Layton (Jodi Poirier); and his friend Rhonda Steadman. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
